CommuniCare Family of Companies is Hiring an Accountant Near Blue, OH
CommuniCare Advantage is currently recruiting an Accountant to manage the books and records and ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure timely month end close processing and financial statement review and distribution.
- Create and review reports, analyze variances, and distribute to management.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and various accounts payable reconciliations.
- Assist with GAAP to STAT entries and tracking.
- Assist with NAIC Quarterly and Annual Filings.
- Assist leadership with collecting support and tracking during various audits.
- Other accounting projects and functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-5 yrs of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare insurance environment.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Must be knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), understanding of Statutory Reporting (STAT) beneficial.
- Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with team members and managers.
- Excellent Excel skills are required.
- Workday experience a plus.
- Superior organizational skills, strong task management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Also important are excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers, and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- A positive attitude, with a high degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as confidentiality, are traits needed to be successful in this role.
